Affiliate programme
The affiliate programme is for people who already recommend PhotoLog - photographers, writers and communities who point their audience at the tools they use themselves. This page covers who it suits and how to join.
What the programme is
You send someone to PhotoLog, and if they become a customer the arrangement is that you are paid for it - on whatever rate and terms you and PhotoLog agree, because this page has none to quote you. That is the whole of it. It's not a reseller agreement, a partner tier or a co-marketing deal: there's nothing to integrate, nothing to resell, and no relationship with the people you refer beyond having recommended something to them.
Who it suits
People who were going to mention PhotoLog anyway. A photographer whose clients keep asking how the delivery link works. Someone who writes about the tools they actually use. A community where recommendations already circulate. The recommendation comes first and the programme comes second - if you wouldn't send someone here without it, the programme is unlikely to change that.
What this page cannot tell you
PhotoLog does not publish rates or terms for the programme, so there is no number on this page and no schedule of payouts. There is also nothing to log into: no link for you to generate, no dashboard, and no referral code that this website recognises.
Both of those are worth knowing before you spend any effort rather than after. If the terms matter to you - and for anything more than a passing mention they should - settle them, and settle how a referral gets recognised, before you promote anything. They don't get settled on this website, so the place to ask is contact us, and the answer is worth having in writing.
Know what you are recommending
A recommendation spends your credibility, not PhotoLog's, so it's worth reading what the product does and does not do before you make one. Three pages carry most of that. How encryption works is the one to read first: it sets out the mechanism and the honest limits in the same place, which is what you would want to have read if someone asked you a hard question about it later. Pricing is where most of the people you send will end up, and security collects the questions people ask before they trust anyone with a photo library.
How to join
Applications go through a Google Form. It's an ordinary form hosted by Google rather than something PhotoLog runs, so what you submit goes there first, and there's no PhotoLog confirmation screen at the end of it.
